Structure Chat
Chat is a small window on top of the game window that allows you to chat to move across the screen in any side. So same if you want you can change the size by clicking on the arrow in the upper right window with chat little corner and pulling it in any direction. If you wish to hide completely chat the button is for this purpose provided to hide in the left bottom corner. 
Having pressed it a chat it will be curtailed till the minimum size. 
If you wish to close completely a chat in chat options need to put a tick opposite to point - to hide a chat completely.
